Lunch and Learn: Video Interview Skills

Monash Professional Year Program held a Lunch and Learn event on video interview skills to provide industry insight, best practices, advice and opportunity to network.

This professional development event was held at the Monash College Bourke St. campus and had an attendance of 90 participants including Monash Professional Year participants and trainers.

The guest speaker at the event was Natasha Cameron, a Human Resources and Recruitment professional with more than 8 years’ experience in recruitment and 4 in generalist HR roles. She is currently supporting the delivery of various recruitment solutions for her clients across Australia and New Zealand as part of the ManpowerGroup Solutions team.

The industry expert shared her experience on graduate employment campaigns and the utilisation of video interviews. She discussed the evaluation criteria used for video interviews and used practical scenarios to illustrate how they are graded. Furthermore, participants were advised on best practices and key aspects of a successful video interview.

The event ended with a question and answer session which was utilised well by Professional Year participants as well as trainers who asked insightful questions.
