The Study Melbourne Internship program is sponsored by the Victorian Department of Economic Development and seeks to enhance the employability of international students studying in Melbourne. Monash Professional Pathways is a proud contributor to the program and we will be placing 15 Indonesian students into Melbourne-based internships, in the fields of business/commerce/accounting, IT and engineering.
We are seeking interest from companies who can consider providing a 12-week, paid, internship placement to one or more of these students. Ideal host organisations are engaged or planning to engage with Indonesia and are committed to supporting the professional development of their interns.
For host companies, this is an opportunity to participate in a program with a high profile and strong support from government. Interns will bring diversity and fresh ideas to the workplace, with up-to-date technical skills and high levels of enthusiasm. The Indonesian students in this program are keen to act as ambassadors for their country. As specially selected, high performers, they are sure to make a good impression as they explore the opportunity to apply their technical knowledge, build their networks and professional experience.
The interns are students in their penultimate and final years of study at Monash University. They are selected on the basis of their CV, cover letter and performance in an assessment centre-style workshop and group interview. The Monash Professional Pathways program provides them with training to cover CV and interview preparation, workplace culture and expectations, to prepare for their internship and a successful graduate career.
